Not What I Expected2013-06-20T20:00:00-04:002013-06-20T22:00:00-04:00The Inspired Body presentsNot What I ExpectedDances of ages, stages and rages An evening of dance, theatre and new music featuring Tracy Pattison’s She Three, inspired by Edward Albee’s Three Tall Women, explores the calculation, surprises and disappointments of gritty reality. Most recently known as Assistant Artistic Director of Verlezza Dance, Pattison offers her own unique choreographic voice to examine the emotional landscapes experienced by Albee’s characters as well as the women in her own life, including herself, as they navigate different stages of life.   Guest Choreographer/Dancers: Claire Porter/PORTABLES, (2013 Guggenheim Fellow, NYC), Kimberly Karpanty Travesty Dance Group, OH) and Heather Koniz (Case Western Reserve University, OH) join the program and represent the three distinctly different life stages of Albee’s characters.  The ambitiously rich evening includes soprano Marla Berg, new music by Chris Gillooly, Bill Sallak, Mary Ellen Childs, additional music by Elliot Sokolov and Zoe Keating, and three fine actresses under the direction of Dianne Boduszek.  For more information: www.theinspiredbody.com PHOTO CREDIT: Benjamin Hornstein Dobama Theatre2340 Lee RoadCleveland HeightsOH44118USAhttps://ticketleap-media-master.s3.amazonaws.com/66d73861-991e-4b9f-ac3a-5b1ab8d04d2a/small.jpg
